Studio Ghibli is the most famous animation studio worldwide. Studio Ghibli has produced nineteen feature films, several short films, television commercials and a television film. Eight of Studio Ghibli's films are among the 15 highest-grossing anime films made in Japan, with Spirited Away being the highest, grossing over $360 million worldwide. Studio Ghibli is very famous among anime fans, if you're an anime fan then there's no need to explain anything more further. So, today I'm gonna list amazing Studio Ghibli movies other than "Spirited Away" to watch which are worth it....
MY NEIGHBOUR TOTORO.
In MY NEIGHBOR TOTORO, it's 1958 Japan, and 10-year-old Satsuki, 4-year-old Mei, and their father move to the countryside where their mother is hospitalized with a long-term illness. As they get settled into their new home, the girls discover there are magical creatures, like dust sprites, that inhabit their house and neighborhood.
One day, Mei sees two little rabbit-like creatures and follows them through their forest, where she meets a much larger version of the creature, whom she calls "Totoro." Eventually Satsuki also meets Totoro, who also introduces the girls to a magical soaring cat-bus. Totoro, who is "keeper of the forest," aids Satsuki and her father when Mei decides to walk to the hospital alone to present her mother with a fresh ear of corn.
HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE
Sophie, a hatter, is a responsible-yet-plain 18-year-old girl who goes to the bakery to visit her sister Lettie when she encounters by chance a mysterious wizard named Howl. This encounter arouses the evil Witch of the Waste, who later enters the hat shop and transforms Sophie into a 90-year-old woman. As the curse prevents her from telling anyone of her condition, Sophie decides to leave and seek out a cure. Along the way, Sophie meets upon the hill the scarecrow Turnip Head. She passes the mysterious Moving Castle and enters it.
At this point, she meets the enchanted fire demon named Calcifer, who powers the castle and recognizes that Sophie has been cursed. Calcifer offers to break the curse in exchange for Sophie's help in breaking the spell he's under, which keeps Calcifer bound to the house. She also meets Howl's young apprentice Markl. When Howl appears, Sophie announces that she is the castle's new cleaning lady, hired by Calcifer because he was sick of how dirty the castle was.WHISPER OF THE HEART.
Whisper of the Heart follows the story of teenage bookworm Shizuku who is struggling to find out who she is as she approaches the last summer of junior high school. Energetic and free-spirited, she harbours ambitions to write. But Shizuku is a voracious reader and plans on using the library to read away the summer vacation.
When she finds that the same mystery borrower has got to every book before her, she meets Seiji, a trainee violin-maker who challenges her to stop reading and start writing. About the awakening of creative talent, Whisper of the Heart was the first and only full-length feature by Hayao Miyazaki’s protégé Yoshifumi Kondo before his sudden death at the young age of 47.

Although Jirou Horikoshi's nearsightedness prevents him from ever becoming a pilot, he leaves his hometown to study aeronautical engineering at Tokyo Imperial University for one simple purpose: to design and build planes just like his hero, Italian aircraft pioneer Giovanni Battista Caproni. WHEN MARINE WAS THERE.
When Marnie Was There is a Japanese anime movie based on a novel of the same name. The movie is about Anna, a 12-year-old girl living in foster care. She has very bad asthma. After a severe asthma attack, she is forced to move to a rural seaside town to spend the summer with relatives. While there Anna explores an abandoned mansion across the river from where she is staying, and has a dream about a blonde girl who lives in the mansion. She rows across the river to the mansion and there meets Marnie, the girl from her dream. Marnie invites Anna to a party at the mansion, which appears to be renovated and full of life at the time.
Later that night, Anna is found asleep near the Post Office. When she visits the mansion again, it seems dilapidated and run-down again. Eventually, Anna hears from others that the mansion is being restored because a new owner is moving in. The new owner, Sayaka, discovers a journal written by Marnie hidden away in the mansion, and shares the details with Anna when she visits. The story in this journal helps Anna to discover Marnie’s identity and gives Anna a new perspective on her own life.
FROM UP ON POPPY HILL
Set in the 1960s in Yokohama, Japan, "Kokuriko-Zaka Kara" follows young teenage girl Umi Komatsuzak. In 1963, Yokohama, Japan, there is an old western style building named Kokuriku Manor which is located on a hill overooking the port. Kokuriku Manor is a lodge which is run by 16-year-old Umi Matsuzaki in place of her mother who as a university professor. Even though Umi is busy in the mornings, she always raises a signal flag which means "prays for the safe voyages of the ships." Umi's father taught her that.
At Umi Matsuzaki's high school there's an old historic building which holds the culture club room. Because of the upcoming Tokyo Olympics the city is tearing down old buildings to make way for the new buildings. A campaign is then started by a group of students who wants to preserve the building. By chance, Umi becomes part of the group against the demolition and through the group meets fellow student Shun Kazama. Slowly, Umi and Shun start to become attracted to each other. Conflicts arise when they learn they may be siblings.
